Daughters's Garden

My daughter has a beautiful garden. I am so proud of her in a myriad of ways.
I think we southerner's call them pass along plants. The fluffy beautiful fern pictured is yarrow and was given to me by a special friend from her grandmother. I passed some along to my daughter. She found the perfect spot for it at her home.

Succulents catch your eye and draw you in.

Sadly, recently their area received a deluge of rain that washed out many of her plants after all her hard work.

The artist's eye at work with these plant combinations.

She shares my love of hydrangeas.
Amy has many artistic talents.
Her home is very lovely and delights the eye and the soul. We enjoy visiting our family and receive such warm hospitality each and every time.

  1. Your daughter has a very lovely garden. It makes you want to sit down and have a glass of tea.

  2. Your daughter sounds like a sweetheart - just like you :) Her garden is beautiful and I love the plants she mixed together. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely Sunday.

  3. You truly have every reason to be proud of your daughter and her talents.

Her home and gardens are lovely!

    Have a truly wonderful day.

  4. Your daughter has a gift of making her house a home... I think the apple did not fall far from the tree. ;) Beautiful! blessings ~ tanna

  5. Bonnie, I can see why you are so proud of her. Her garden is beautiful..I have been thinking a lot about legacy lately and what we leave our surely is obvious that you have already passed on a lot to your daughter doesn't do any gardening at all..but my son has taken it up lately...hopefully some of my grandchildren will like it..

  6. thank you, Mama. I wouldn't know a thing without your example.

  7. Bonnie, it's evident to me that your daughter inherited your talent and love for gardening. Her garden is beautiful; I'm so sorry the torrential rains messed up her plants and flowers. That is discouraging when you've put so much work into something.

The yarrow plant is lovely, as are the hydrangeas. She also has a beautiful home; I can see why it would be a pleasure for you to visit. :) Take care and have a great week.

  8. Passalong plants are the best kind Bonnie! I have some from my MIL's garden and my Aunt's. Your daughter's garden is beautiful. We've had an endless deluge of rain too...I'm glad I'm not a farmer!

  9. I can see why you love her gardens in her yard. They are very pretty! I love the stone border around her yard and the birdbath near the hydrangeas. She has done a great job mixing garden statuary with the plants.

  10. Isn't it fun to share our daughter's talents and style which are a reflection of their uniqueness. Linsey recently received what would be a pass along plant and she is thrilled to know that it originated with her great great grandmother.

  11. Hi Bonnie! Oh, your daughters plants and flower bed are so pretty! I love those hydrangea! The ones in the vase are gorgeous. Her home looks lovely too. I know you're so proud of her. I was thrilled to have you join our elite group!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  12. You really ought to be proud of your daughter, Bonnie. her garden is beautiful indeed! I especially love her hydrangeas....Christine

  13. Oh my Bonnie, your daughter certainly has a beautiful garden and such talent! You should be proud of her and all her accomplishments.

  14. Your daughter's garden is lovely - I wonder where she gets her talented "eye" - lol!!! Your "pass along" plants comment reminded me that I was told years ago never to actually say, "Thank you", for those or the plants would not grow. We southerners have some strange ideas - hahahaha!

  15. I can see that the apple never falls far from the tree. Lovely. Cherry Kay

  16. Oh my, what a lovely garden your daughter has, it must make you so proud and as the saying goes: 'The apple doesn't fall far from the TREE! Thank you so much for your sweet and kind comments, I so love your visits, my friend. Big hugs,

  17. I'm afraid the rain has confused a lot of things in my garden, my hydrangeas are just now starting to bloom...yours [or your daughter's?] are gorgeous as is the yarrow. Lovely

Your comments are so encouraging and make my day. I would love to know what you are thinking.
