Sunrises and Sunsets

Sunrises and sunsets are glorious to me and I am in awe of each one I view. I'm sharing a collection of sunrises and sunsets today that were a thrill to photograph from different places I've traveled.
Progression of Sunrise-St. George Island, Florida
Let us acknowledge the LORD, let us press on to acknowledge him. As surly as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3
Another morning the same week on St. George Island.

A cell phone pic of sunrise from Panama City, Florida on the bay side.

In Monpazier, France, we had a "room with a view" and what a glorious sunrise it was!

I view some spectacular sunrises through the trees in my own backyard in Alabama!
My daughter and son-in-law walking on the beach at sunset on St. George Island.
Sunset over the Mississippi River at Natchez. We had to work hard to get this shot. To find the right spot at the right time can only be credited to my husband who has a great sense of direction.
The Eiffel Tower is a splendid platform from which to watch the sunset over Paris.

As the light faded over the Trocadéro we sat down to eat a once in a lifetime meal in one of the Eiffel Tower restaurants.

The whole earth is filed with awe at your wonders where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65:8

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13

And the grand finale is a gorgeous rainbow viewed from our hotel balcony in Bordeaux, France. Which sunrise and sunset is your favorite?
On another note, do you like Instagram as much as I do? I'd like to invite you to follow me in all the fun there.

Tablescapes for Appreciation Brunch

My church hosted an appreciation brunch honoring women on staff and staff wives this past weekend. You are in for a treat today to view a myriad of delightful tablescapes.

I wasn't able to snap pictures of all the tablescapes but you can see there were many creative and interesting tables.

Church Staff and staff wives sacrifice family time to
serve others in countless ways. This brunch was given in their honor. I  regret I didn't get a picture of our inspiring speaker and the delicious food. A great time of fellowship was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Enchanted by the Moon

The moon is mesmerizing! I especially love full moons and can't get enough of them. I get goose bumps thinking of where I was in this photo looking onto the roman forum in Rome. To be in that spot so rich in history with a gorgeous moon was exciting. I feel so close to God when I see the moon wherever I am. Join me as I share several moon shots I've collected the last few years in various places.

I can not view the moon without thinking of this verse.
 Psalm 19:1-4 says,
The heavens declare the glory of God ; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth their words to the ends of the world.

A beautiful full moon in my own backyard in
Alabama during the blue hour.

An early morning moon with the sun beginning to rise in my backyard. I'm an early riser and I usually check out the moon when it's in view.

Early morning from my front yard. There are fewer trees in my front yard so it is much easier to see the moon.

I do have a love affair with the moon. Here it is in all it's beauty in Sorrento, Italy.  We had dinner on the wharf there and I was thrilled to photograph the moon  rising over the city and illuminating the water.

An evening in Paris from the Eiffel Tower viewing the city lit by the gorgeous full moon.

The moon over Paris was enchanting.

Crescent moons are pretty too.
I'm drawn to the moon and my family knows how much I love it. It is such a visible promise of God's faithfulness and that He is in control.
Do you love to view the moon? Tell me about a special memory you have viewing the moon.

A Beautiful Day in the Garden

Saturday was cool but sunny and after a day or two of foggy cloudy days it was very welcome.  Flocks of robins were everywhere and it was too glorious to  stay inside. So, I grabbed my camera and started taking an inventory of my garden. My first reflection was: in the winter when the garden is sleeping I like the pop of blue of my cast iron architectural piece.

Camellia Love

Camellias are blooming in my garden. The luscious blooms of camellias are beautiful to me. I've cut some  blossoms to share with you today from my garden and pulled out some camellia pictures from my archives too.
