Weather Update

In the deep south today it has been all about ice. The temperature has been around 24-25 in our town in south Alabama. Not much going on because the roads are icy.

It snowed at our house in 2010. Snow is so rare it created quite a stir.

I know Valentine's Day is several weeks away but I am already thinking about setting my table and what food I will serve. I found these glasses and napkin rings at Pier 1 recently and they said Valentine to me.

New items around the house

Do you have any new items around your house that you recommend? I have two items I recommend. The first is Pioneer Woman's new cookbook. I received it as a gift for Christmas. It has great ideas for all the holidays. This cookbook has easy to implement recipes and ideas to make any holiday festive.

Did you see the beautiful moon last night?

This is not last night's moon because my camera flash is not working. This is a moon shot last Easter. It is not a good picture at all and I would LOVE to learn more about shooting the moon. Just wanted to share with everyone that was busy and didn't see the moon and might want to tonight.

 I finally found some ikat pillows in the right colors I could afford at Home Goods. Now a question: Do you know how to pronounce ikat?
