Signs of Spring
February 02, 2011A large portion of the country is experiencing harsh winter weather. Last night we had a thunderstorm and lightning came in frying our wireless router and DVR cable box. Our neighbors lost two TVs, a computer and a router. But today cardinals and robins cheered me. First I saw several males and then just the couple shown above. Can you find the female in the picture? I made these shots through the window. Amazing how sensitive birds are to movement. Then an hour later the robins came flying in. There must have been fifty or more. It was so exciting.
I have been praying for all the people in Australia and for everyone affected by the Blizzard of 2011!

Oh how I am ready for spring. We are in the middle of the blizzard with temps at -20 degrees tonight. I think I'll dig out and go purchase some tulips...and some bird seed.
