Your blog post this morning is breathtaking with the stunning hydrangeas, gorgeous table linens, and pretty china. Each linen has such beautiful and intricate detail. DeleteI was excited to see our post this morning, I had been praying for you. I hope all is well now but as you know, usually we never are completely well after an extended bout of illness. Everyday is a new challenge for me, but God is amazing and gives me the strength to get through each new day.
ReplyDeleteYour hydrangeas are amazingly beautiful! As I have said many times, we can not grow them here in Florida and I have hydrangea envy. And the table linens and stories behind them make your outdoor tables even more beautiful. How precious and thank you for sharing. Take care my friend and know that you are in my prayers. Hugs and Blessings!🙏🏻❤️🥰. Kari @ Me and My Captain
Thank you dear friend for your encouragment and prayers. Your comment means so much.
DeleteWelcome back, Bonnie! 💙 The garden and tablescapes are two of my happiest places to immerse myself, and I'm happy you're sharing what you've been holding onto. They're beautiful, and even though it may be hot, these are calming photos, disguising what may otherwise be apparent behind the "veil". I hope your life's journey has calmed a bit, and that you've weathered whatever storms came your way.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, thank you for sharing all these beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI have missed you! I didn't know you were unwell, but I'm so glad to see that you are feeling better. You were one of my first friends in blogging. :) These tables are absolutely beautiful! I don't think there are many things more lovely than vintage table linens, and these are exquisite. They are a treasure for the one who owns them. Your flower arrangements are so, so pretty. I really do love hydrangeas and would like to expand my plantings of those.
I hope things continue to look up for you, Bonnie -- so glad to see you back online!
Warm hugs,
Denise
Bonnie, I'm thrilled to see this post. I've missed you! Life brings challenges, and I'm happy you have found the desire to share this beautiful post. I love the details of the linens and their back story. You know me well enough to know that family pieces are important to me. I recently rescued a broken tea pot from my deceased sister's garden. It was one that we grew up with, and some point it sustained a broken spout, the bottom broke out, and the lid is missing. My sister treasured it as I do, and so she used it in her garden to grown a plant. My nieces brought it to me this summer, knowing that I would appreciate it in my garden as their mom did in hers. Many might not realize the significance and value of such a piece, but I suspect you would, dear friend. Keep sharing. Glad you are back.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see you back at it! Your table with the special blue and white cloth is quite stunning. Your hydrangeas are gorgeous! And your other table is just as lovely as the other one. Your vintage linens are so special and hold such wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteI am glad things are better. I continue to pray. Hugs!
Bonnie, I've missed you! One day you were there, then not. (And maybe I missed reasons why -- just assuming you were either busy or had given up Blogland.) It sounds like things had been rough and I'm glad they have settled enough to bring you back. This table -- well, both tables -- are wonderful, made all the more so by the beautiful vintage linens. (And your glorious hydrangeas.) Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteBonnie I am so happy you were ready to post again! Both of these tables are stunning as well as the hydrangeas! I am smitten by the gorgeous embroidery and lace patchwork squares that “Grammy” purchased along the Costa del Sol. How special for you to have the opportunity to photograph and share with us. You know how much I love a table with memories attached. The gorgeous hydrangeas and gardenias placed in the footed sterling silver compote given for your 25th anniversary by Mike’s parents is another sweet memory. I also love the Haviland Bavarian teacups that were your mother’s.
ReplyDeleteThe unique tablecloth bought in Hong Kong in the 1930’s or early 40’s is absolutely charming. The Chinese scene is lovely as is the cross stitch on the napkins. I love the Horchow blue and white pottery with the bamboo cutlery. The centerpiece is spectacular! Both tables set in your beautiful garden are fabulous! Once again, I am so thrilled you posted. I read while on vacation, but waited to comment when I returned home. Continued prayers!
