Cherry Blossoms in Nita's Garden

Enjoy a stroll through my friend Nita's garden. You are in for a treat.
I can truly say my pictures do not do this beautiful garden justice.
Allée of cherry trees that were bought marked snowgoose white cherry.
But, we can clearly see they are beautiful pink cherry blossoms.
Nita is a master gardener and floral designer. Her interior decorating skills are also top notch. She has lived in Europe and traveled to many interesting places. Her home is elegantly decorated with many antique pieces and  lovely collections.

Very soon this area will be bursting with many large potted plants. Lemon trees, ivy topiaries, and rose standards to name a few are lush and beautiful. It is a little early to bring them out.

She bought this attractive tablerunner in Provence.
Her family and friends enjoy pleasant evenings sitting by the fire in season and enjoying the garden when a fire is not needed. Her terrace is truly a beautiful retreat.

Aren't the dogs cute! I couldn't resist taking their pictures too!

Stay tuned next week for her summer garden. Here is a preview pic.

This is my friend Nita, with her precious and adorable new grandaughter!
Thank you Nita for sharing your beautiful garden with us!

  3. Nita, thanks for letting Mama take pictures. Everything looks incredible. Your house and garden are truly an inspiration for me ever since that first time I was given a tour. In time, I hope to capture the same feeling in my garden.

  5. Cherry blossoms, that's something we don't have in Houston. A couple of years ago I happened to be in DC when they were in full bloom, and there's nothing like that sight. I can imagine what a visual delight your friend's garden is when all is green and blooming. Such peaceful pleasure there is in a garden. Have a very good week, my dear.

  14. Oh my goodness everything is beautiful. The cherry blossoms I love and I read an article about the Cherry Blossoms in Washington, DC are making an early appearance this year due to the mild winter. I also love the outdoor fireplace. Stunning I have never seen anything like that before. I think all my time would be outside.
