Shades of Blue Tablescape

Today, I'm featuring my kitchen bar with a tablescape for three people. Purple alstroemeria in mason jars flank a blue and white bowl of apples for a centerpiece.
I enjoyed mixing all the shades of blue and several textures.

Table top includes aqua Paula Deen plates, various patterns of World Market bowls, Williams Sonoma flatware and napkins, glasses and placemats are so old I don't remember where I bought them.

I'm still enjoying my daughter's art work.  She custom painted the abstract landscape over the sink for me. I am so proud of her. She took one year of art in junior high and one in high school. Otherwise, she is self taught. You can view more of her art on Instagram@amschnorrenberg_art. I like her chic business name, Vert et Bleu.
Fresh flowers and fresh fruit are cheerful and I need to eat an apple every day to keep the doctor away during this flu season.
And totally off the subject I saw blue birds and robins in my yard this morning. That really made me happy! It is so cold here in south Alabama! Stay warm and well. The flu is everywhere!

  1. Hi Bonnie! Love the blue place settings at the bar. Isn't alstroemeria the best for cut flowers? It seems to last forever. I remember your daughter's art work and it is perfect!

  2. Hi Bonnie,

Your tablescape looks really pretty! There are so many lovely shades of blue, aren't there? I think the purple flowers look so nice with your blue/aqua mason jars. Your daughter's artwork is so pretty, Bonnie! It looks perfect over your sink, although if I did that I would probably splash water all over it. ;) I always enjoy seeing your beautiful new kitchen; you made great choices on the renovation.

    Have a great week!

    Hugs,

    Denise

  3. I love your blue tablescape! Your bowls are so neat. I like how they're all different! I hope you stay warm tomorrow. It looks like a lot of the state will be getting snow!

  4. Beautiful, Bonnie! I saw a similar bowl like that one you feature in the individual setting in HG the other day....it was an orphan though, and in b&w. I loved that pattern (reminds me of Herend). It is a most joyful day - typically sometime in Feb in our region - to see a swarm of robins. Yes, the flu in all its variations is rampant! Stay well and warm.

  5. Love the way you so artfully combines all the shades and textures of blue, Bonnie! I can see where your daughter's gift came from. ;) I know her painting over your sink just makes you feel the happiness! It is brutally cold (for us) today. Snow and never above freezing, getting down to 15F tonight. Not my kind of weather! Stay warm, sweet friend. blessings ~ tanna

The painting over your sink is a beautiful focal point and your daughter is a very gifted artist. The flu has hit so hard...stay warm!

  10. Hi Bonnie, Love all the blues you are using on your kitchen bar. Love the painting from your daughter and I love you have it where you can see and enjoy it everyday. It has been so cold here, we have snow in the forcast, again! Oh the flu is terrible here, staying close to home and nursing a sinus infection. Stay warm.........

  11. Oh Bonnie I just love it! Love the blues. Girl, I never thought about showing my kitchen bar. That is where we mainly eat since there's just two of us and my sweet FIL eats with us on Tuesday nights so we all sit there. On Sunday's when the kids come we sit at my table. DANG, I am going to showcase my little bar. I just love it! You always do the neatest things. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  14. Oh, love the pretty blue tablescapes, looks beautiful! There's so much sickness here but I've managed to stay well. Hubby, not so much, he's been so sick with Bronchitis. Have a great weekend!

  15. Hey Bonnie, are you as thrown by the weather as I am? The cold has been crazy and I knock on wood every day I don't have the flu. We eat at the bar almost every night so I appreciate yours and how you've made it special. That's as it should be.
