Sunrises and Sunsets

Sunrises and sunsets are glorious to me and I am in awe of each one I view. I'm sharing a collection of sunrises and sunsets today that were a thrill to photograph from different places I've traveled.
Progression of Sunrise-St. George Island, Florida
Let us acknowledge the LORD, let us press on to acknowledge him. As surly as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3
Another morning the same week on St. George Island.

A cell phone pic of sunrise from Panama City, Florida on the bay side.

In Monpazier, France, we had a "room with a view" and what a glorious sunrise it was!

I view some spectacular sunrises through the trees in my own backyard in Alabama!
My daughter and son-in-law walking on the beach at sunset on St. George Island.
Sunset over the Mississippi River at Natchez. We had to work hard to get this shot. To find the right spot at the right time can only be credited to my husband who has a great sense of direction.
The Eiffel Tower is a splendid platform from which to watch the sunset over Paris.

As the light faded over the Trocadéro we sat down to eat a once in a lifetime meal in one of the Eiffel Tower restaurants.

The whole earth is filed with awe at your wonders where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. Psalm 65:8

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:13

And the grand finale is a gorgeous rainbow viewed from our hotel balcony in Bordeaux, France. Which sunrise and sunset is your favorite?
On another note, do you like Instagram as much as I do? I'd like to invite you to follow me in all the fun there.

  6. Like you, I'm crazy for sunrise and sunset and am awed by how different each can be. It is fascinating to note how the colors change with the seasons. God is, indeed, an incredible artist whose palette inspires much of my work.

  23. Good Morning Bonnie,
What a perfect time for me to be reading this post as the sunrise is kissing the trees with soft rays of morning sunshine!
I too love sunrises and sunsets. There is just something so sweet and symbolic about the opening of the day and the closing of it too with light from the heavens. Your selections of scripture where perfect for this post and I feel blessed by them.
    Have a beautiful day,
    Hugs,
    Jemma
