Broken Candlestick

I broke my candlestick today vacuuming. It makes me sad. Have you ever broken something you really liked? You can see it in my header.  I know it is just a thing but I am disappointed. There is no hope glueing it back together.

  4. I'm sorry, Bonnie. If you haven't already done so, don't throw away the pieces. Something may come to you later about what to do with them. Sometimes I have been able to use parts of broken objects in a completely different way. It helps take the sting out of the original loss. After our pseudo move a couple of years ago, there were a couple of things that got broken that I just couldn't bear to part with. I waited a couple of months and then revisited them. One of them I was actually able to put back together using a trick someone showed me. I salvaged the patterned part of another piece to use as a riser. So you never know! I'm really sorry about the breakage. :-(

  5. So sorry! I understand. I broke a candle holder that was my aunts. But this happens to me a lot. I've broken more Fiesta in the last two months than I have in 10 years.I save it though. I want to make my back splash with broken Fiesta. Maybe you can start looking in thrift and antique shops for a twin?

  6. So very distressing...I have had lots of breakage from dogs bounding over tables and on the backs of sofas. On the bright side, you have an excuse to head out to HomeGoods or Hobby Lobby now and look for a item to keep your lone candlestick company :)
